Alright soooo second post today. 

Only because they’re so similar, short & sweet, & I’m falling behind on my posts!

LOL I’ve been working on content & editing so much that I have too many to post now & I gotta get them up before I start making fall yumminess. 

OK so I just posted the caramel macchiato ice cream & this is almost exactly the same but different flavor, Chocolate Coffee, so super easy. I had to make both of these flavors because I made the caramel macchiato first & my dad loved it but my mom wanted this (it’s what she always gets at Coldstone) so I made her this one. Also it cost me like $3-4 to make this which is like 2 pints of ice cream (I think?) & at Coldstone it costs like $3-4 for a small cup of ice cream. Just sayin’…

Chocolate Coffee Oreo Ice Cream Recipe

Swirls of Coffee and Chocolate Ice Cream with Oreo chunks!

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp espresso powder
  • 1 Tbsp hot water
  • 2 cup (480mL) heavy cream
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 oreos, chopped

Method

  1. Begin with making the shot of espresso so it has time to cool. If using the powder, heat up the water and mix it with the espresso powder.
    1 tsp espresso powder, 1 Tbsp hot water
  2. Using an electric mixer or stand mixer, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Separate the mixture in half into two separate bowls. Fold cocoa powder into one and fold the espresso into the other one. Fold Oreos into both of them.
    2 cup (480mL) heavy cream, 14 oz sweetened condensed milk, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 Tbsp cocoa powder, 6 oreos chopped
  3. Alternate pouring the chocolate and coffee ice cream into a pan. Take a knife and drag it through a few times vertically and horizontally to create a nice swirl. Freeze for a few hours, best if overnight. Eat like no one is watching!
