S’mores Frap with Marshmallow Whipped Cream
Coffee?! Starbucks’ smores frap is more like dessert than coffee, but then again…who’s complaining?! S’mores frappuccino coming atcha with all the chocolate sauce, graham crackers and toasted marshmallow whipped cream!
The smores frap Starbucks offers is my all-time favorite summer drink, especially since it’s a limited time offer. You know I love anything s’mores related and it’s so easy so I’m going to show you how to make it at home.
How to make a s’mores frap?
The recipe may look lengthy but it’s actually quite simple to make. The main part is blending the sugar, coffee, milk and ice for the base. The rest is mostly decorative.
Make the chocolate wall by drizzling milk chocolate sauce into the empty cup. Then pour in the coffee mixture, followed by the toppings. Toppings include more chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallow infused whipped cream and graham cracker crumbles.
Ingredients for S’mores Frappuccino
- Espresso: For this recipe I used two espresso shots but you can also use espresso powder 1 tsp of espresso powder with 1 Tbsp of water to make espresso. I wouldn’t use brewed ground coffee because it won’t be strong enough.
- Ice: I mean a frappuccino is like an iced drink dessert.
- Milk & Cream: I used half 2% milk and half heavy whipping cream to get the consistency I liked. You can certainly make it with whole milk, even coconut milk. Other allergen friendly milks will work as well but you won’t get quite that creamy blend.
- Sugar: I used a tsp of granulated sugar but a pump of vanilla syrup would also give it good flavor!
- Chocolate sauce: I made a milk chocolate ganache with equal parts milk chocolate and heavy whipping cream but you can also purchase some from the grocery store.
- Whipped Cream: for an ultra s’mores frappuccino, I infused my whipped cream with toasted marshmallows. For a simpler/quicker version, replace the marshmallows with marshmallow fluff.
How to make toasted marshmallow whipped cream
I recommend an oven opposed to using a kitchen torch to melt and toast the marshmallows. While they’re baking, whip up the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Remove the marshmallows from the oven and allow them to cool for just 1-2 minutes. Then beat them into the cream and use in the s’mores frap!
