Servings 12 trees

Ingredients

Rice Krispies

  • 120 grams Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal
  • 113 grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 285 grams marshmallows
  • 20 grams unsweetened cocoa powder, spooned and leveled
  • 170 grams dark chocolate chips
  • 165 grams marshmallow fluff

Topping

  • 45 grams chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles

Method

  1. Grease and line an 8" pan with cooking spray and parchment paper and use binder clips to secure the paper. Place the Rice Krispies Cereal into a large bowl and set aside.
    120 grams Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal
  2. In a large saucepan melt the butter and marshmallows. Stir frequently, until it’s all completely melted. Add the cocoa powder and chocolate chips and stir until it's melted and smooth.
113 grams unsalted butter softened, 285 grams marshmallows, 20 grams unsweetened cocoa powder spooned and leveled, 170 grams dark chocolate chips
  3. Pour the chocolate marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies Cereal and mix until it's halfway combined. Add the marshmallow fluff and mix until it's somewhat distributed. You don't want to completely mix it in until you can't tell it's there.
    165 grams marshmallow fluff
  4. Place the Rice Krispie treats in the prepared pan and allow it to set for 1-2 hours. Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut them out. Press the leftover scraps together and then cut that out too.
  5. Place the chocolate chips for the topping in a microwave safe bowl (or a double boiler on the stovetop) and microwave on 20 second intervals, stirring between each one, until it's fully melted.
    45 grams chocolate chips
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate on top of the trees and then top with sprinkles.
    Sprinkles

Notes

You can replace the marshmallow fluff with mini marshmallows and stir them in at the end, while it's still warm.
The chocolate drizzle can be replaced with a white chocolate drizzle, which can easily be colored with food coloring.
