Apple Cranberry Crisp Recipe

Apple cranberry crisp is an easy and delicious mix of apples and cranberries, topped with a crispy cinnamon streusel and a generous amount of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

Filling

  • 4-5 large apples, peeled and sliced
  • 150 grams fresh cranberries
  • 15 grams all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 50 grams light or dark brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Streusel

  • 113 grams salted butter, melted
  • 210 grams all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 100 grams light or dark brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • vanilla ice cream

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F/177C convection (325F/163C conventional).
  2. For the filling, peel and slice the apples and place them in a deep 10" pan. Add the rest of the filling ingredients and combine, until evenly mixed.
    4-5 large apples peeled and sliced, 150 grams fresh cranberries, 15 grams all-purpose flour spooned and leveled, 50 grams light or dark brown sugar lightly packed, 1 tsp vanilla extract
  3. In a separate bowl, melt the butter and then add in all the other ingredients. Mix everything with a fork until the streusel forms pea sized chunks.

  4. Spread evenly on top of the apple mixture and bake for about 45 minutes, until the streusel has browned.
  5. Remove from the oven, let it rest for about 10 minutes and then serve with vanilla ice cream!
