Dark chocolate and white cake layers alternating between layers of whipped dark chocolate and white chocolate ganache. The ultimate black and white cake.
STEP 2CHOCOLATE CAKE:
Sift dry ingredients over the wet ingredients & whisk together. Distribute batter evenly among the four pans & bake for 35 minutes & allow to cool.
STEP 3VANILLA CAKE:
Prep a 6 inch round pan. Whisk flour, baking powder & salt. In a separate bowl whisk oil & sugar. Whisk in egg whites. Add sour cream & vanilla extract & whisk.
STEP 4VANILLA CAKE:
Add half the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mix on low & pour in the cream & the rest of the dry ingredients. Bake for 35 minutes, then slice in half to get 2 layers after cake has cooled.
STEP 5GANACHES:
Heat the cream & pour 2 cups over the dark chocolate and 1 cup over the white chocolate. Mix, allow to cool to room temperature & beat until they become fluffy.
STEP 6ASSEMBLE:
Assemble the cake (from bottom to top) in the following order:
