Butter Sweetened Condensed Milk Cocoa Powder Vanilla Extract

STEP 1: Begin by making the salted caramel sauce and set it aside to cool.

STEP 2: Make the 6 inch chocolate cake recipe and allow the layers to cool completely before frosting.

STEP 3: To make the frosting,  whip the butter until pale and fluffy.  Add the Sweetened Condensed Milk, cocoa powder & vanilla & beat until combined.

STEP 4: Pipe a boarder of frosting on the edge of the 1st layer of cake, fill with caramel sauce, then pipe another layer of frosting on top of  caramel.

STEP 5: Refrigerate cake for 15 min, and repeat with the 2nd layer. Then refrigerate for another 15 min, place the last layer of cake on top & refrigerate for 30 minutes.

STEP 6: Use the rest of the frosting to frost the outside of the cake. Drizzle extra caramel on top.
