Easy homemade chai latte concentrate recipe to make your kitchen feel like your favorite coffee shop!

green cardamom pods whole cloves whole allspice peppercorns fennel seeds cinnamon sticks dried ginger root whole nutmeg water star anise vanilla bean orange zest light brown sugar black tea


STEP 1: Place cardamom pods, cloves, allspice, peppercorns & fennel seeds in a mortar & pestle & crush until cardamom opens & the rest look somewhat crushed.

STEP 2: Toast spices, cinnamon sticks, ginger & nutmeg in a bottom heavy pot over low-medium heat. Add water & turn heat to high to bring the water to a boil.

STEP 3: Remove from heat, add in star anise, vanilla bean, orange zest & brown sugar & cover the pot with a lid. Allow to steep for 30 minutes.

STEP 4: Bring water back to a boil & then remove it from the heat again. Add black tea, cover with a lid & let it steep for another 10 minutes.

STEP 5: Strain the water into a jar & use equal parts concentrate and milk to make homemade chai latte.
