Gingerbread PIE

Delicious gingerbread pie made with Athens Phyllo Dough Sheets and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon for an extra holiday flair!

Athens Phyllo Dough unsalted butter cornstarch sweetened condensed milk light brown sugar molasses vanilla extract salt ginger cinnamon nutmeg cloves allspice eggs whipped cream


STEP 1: Using 1/4 cup of melted butter, spread onto each layer of Athens Phyllo Dough before stacking them, alternating the long side, in a 9” greased pie pan.

STEP 2: For the filling, mix 1/2 cup butter & cornstarch. Add sweetened condensed milk, sugar, molasses, vanilla, salt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves & allspice & whisk.

STEP 3: Add eggs & beat. Pour mixture over the Athens Phyllo Dough sheets & bake at 350F for 45 min.

STEP 4: Let the pie cool for an hour at room temp, then refrigerate for four hours. Top with whipped cream & a pinch of cinnamon before serving.
