Cream Cheese Icing for Carrot Cake

This super simple cream cheese icing for carrot cake is delicious and perfect for all your carrot cake inspired recipes!

unsalted butter cream cheese vanilla bean paste salt powdered sugar


STEP 1: With an electric mixer and paddle attachment, beat butter, cream cheese & vanilla on medium-high speed for 1-2 minutes.

STEP 2: Add salt & powdered sugar to the mixture & mix on low speed, just until combined.

STEP 3: Scrape the edge of the bowl and turn the mixer to medium-high speed & beat for 5 minutes, until all of the sugar is fully dissolved.

STEP 4: If it’s too soft to frost, refrigerate for 15 minutes, remove from the fridge, give it a good mix & refrigerate for another 15 minutes. Frost your cake & enjoy!
