Baked apple cider donut recipe is donuts coated with a delicious chai spiced sugar and an optional caramel glaze!

Reduce the apple cider by placing it in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Allow it to simmer until it is reduced to a 1/2 cup, then remove & allow it to cool.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon & nutmeg. Set aside. Whisk reduced apple cider, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs & apple butter until well combined.
Fold in flour mixture & fill the donut molds. Bake donuts at 425F for 8 minutes, then allow to cool on a wire rack.
Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar & spices. Brush the donuts with melted butter & immediately toss in chai sugar until it’s fully coated.
Make Homemade Salted Caramel. Combine caramel sauce with powdered sugar & cinnamon & whisk until smooth.
Dip plain donuts in glaze or drizzle on top of sugared donuts.
