Apple pie with puff pastry is a classic pumpkin pie turned into an apple pie using homemade apple butter. Serve with fresh whipped cream.

STEP 1: Make the buttermilk pie crust ahead of time using my buttermilk pie crust recipe.

STEP 2: If you are using homemade apple butter, make that ahead of time using my recipe.

STEP 3: Roll out the chilled pie crust and press it into a greased 9” pie pan. Refrigerate it until it is completely solid.

STEP 4: Using a hand mixer, beat the eggs a couple of minutes until they become pale and fluffy.

STEP 5: Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, salt & cinnamon & beat until combined. Mix in apple butter until fully incorporated & pour over crust.

STEP 6: Bake at 325 for 75 minutes, turn off the oven & leave it in there for 15 min. Remove the pie and allow it to cool before refrigerating.

STEP 7: Serve cooled pie with fresh whipped cream. Enjoy!
