Salted Caramel Sauce

Super easy, homemade salted caramel sauce for drizzling on top of desserts or using in recipes!

granulated sugar water heavy cream unsalted butter salt vanilla extract

Ingredients

STEP 1: Place sugar & water in a sauce pan & swirl the pan until sugar is immersed in water. Place over medium heat & allow sugar to dissolve in the water.

STEP 2: Bring to a simmer, lower the heat, & place the lid on the pan & allow the mixture to simmer until it turns a light amber color.

STEP 3: Remove it from the heat & pour in heavy cream while stirring, then stir in softened butter. Pour the caramel sauce in a heat proof jar & stir in salt & vanilla extract.

STEP 4:  Drizzle it on EVERYTHING  & enjoy!
