chewy  gingerbread COOKIES

Super soft and chewy gingerbread cookies frosted with a glorious vanilla bean glaze!

AP flour baking soda ginger cinnamon cloves nutmeg all spice cardamom salt butter light brown sugar granulated sugar egg molasses



powdered sugar milk vanilla


STEP 1: Combine flour, baking soda, spices & salt & set aside. Cream butter & sugars until pale & fluffy.

STEP 2: Beat in the egg, then molasses, then add the dry ingredients and beat.

STEP 3: Scoop out the cookie dough and roll so the edges are even, then smush them down onto the cookie sheet.

STEP 4: Bake the cookies for 9 min at 350F. Remove & allow them to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before moving to a cooling rack.

STEP 5: Once the cookies have cooled, combine ingredients for the icing & mix until sugar is dissolved.

STEP 6: Dip each cookie into the icing and let it drip off the edge. Enjoy!
