STEP 2:
Combine flour, salt & baking powder. Add flour mixture into butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Beat until flour is fully incorporated.
STEP 3:
Mix 1 Tbsp flour with chocolate chips & fold into batter. Pour batter in four 6-in pans & bake at 350F for 30 min. Remove from pans & let cool.
STEP 7:
Beat butter until pale and fluffy. Add sugar & cocoa powder & beat until fully dissolved & fluffy. Mix in chocolate ganache, vanilla, & salt & beat for another few minutes.
STEP 10:
Place next layer of cake on top & repeat until all layers are used. Refrigerate for 2 hrs. Use leftover frosting & butterscotch to frost the outside of the cake.
