This brown butter cream cheese frosting recipe is quick and easy to make. It beings with browned butter and is turned into a luscious frosting using cream cheese.

STEP 1: For the brown butter, heat cubed butter in a medium saucepan. Stir as it begins to bubble and foam. Milk solids will settle at the bottom.

STEP 2: Remove from heat and continue stirring for another minute as the butter becomes an amber color. Pour into bowl of a stand mixer.

STEP 3: For the frosting, add cream cheese and vanilla to the butter and beat for 2 minutes until they’re combined at medium-high speed.

STEP 4: Add powdered sugar and beat at low speed until the sugar is combined. Then increase to full speed for 2 min until the sugar is dissolved.
