STEP 1:
For the streusel topping, pulse flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in a food processor. Add melted butter and pulse until small chunks are formed.

For the donuts, pulse peeled and sliced apples until shredded. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter with the brown sugar until combined.

STEP 3:
Add egg and vanilla and whisk aggressively until smooth and slightly lighter in color. Add in shredded apples and whisk.

STEP 4:
Fold in the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Pipe the batter into a prepared donut mold pan about 2/3 full.

Top with streusel and bake for 12 min at 350F. Remove from oven and cool on cooling rack. Dust with powdered sugar to serve.
